Pueo, the short-eared owl soaring by the gleaming Mahina (moon) in the twilight hour. Pueo are aumakua or guardians in Hawaiian culture…owls develop deep connections with individuals lucky enough to encounter them closely. Their nocturnal and spiritual nature go hand in hand with the moon and its various phases.
